The Big Gig, now in its eleventh year, takes place on Saturday, 30th June at Paulton Rovers FC. The event supports local and national charities, including Children’s Hospice South West, Alzheimer’s Society, Time is Precious and the RUH Forever Friends Appeal.

This year, the line-up is once again packed with local talent, including Abstract Typography, Train To Skaville, and 80s tribute band, Retro Electro.

The gates will open at 3 p.m., with the first band starting at 4 p.m., and the fun set to continue until midnight. James Bridges, who will be providing DJ support between acts, said: “We hope to once again provide a great day of live music for the community.

“A portion of the profits made will be donated to local charities, so we hope it’s a sell-out, and we’ve been really pleased with how quickly the tickets have sold. If I wasn’t involved in organising it, I’d definitely be there to party!”
