Peasedown St John Primary School’s Deputy Head Girl, Ruby, (and her Dad) recently took part in the Big Bath Sleep Out, to raise money for Julian House. They spent the night sleeping in their garden with nothing but a canopy of stars overhead.

When they woke in the morning they had ice on their sleeping bags! The temperature had dropped to -3 degrees centigrade.

Ruby’s Mum and Dad commented how brave she had been to stay out the whole night. The family raised over £500 for Julian House as a result of Ruby’s wonderful effort.

Mr Knollys, Headteacher at Ruby’s school, said: “As a school we are proud of all our pupils for the fantastic efforts they make in raising money for this and so many other good causes. Keep up the good work!”
