What are we to expect in Midsomer Norton and Radstock? Thundery showers with strong winds, turning drier by the weekend.

Today:

Sunshine and showers through the day with the risk of thunder and hail towards the west in the heaviest of downpours. Strong southwesterly winds spread inland by the afternoon with the possibility of coastal gales. Feeling chilly throughout. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Tonight:

Heavy showers continuing throughout with longer spells of rain into the early hours. Southwesterly winds turn more northwesterly by dawn bringing stronger gusts and costal gales in the southwest. Minimum temperature 5 °C.

Friday:

Heavy showers and strong coastal gales easing through the morning, leaving sunny spells into the afternoon. Isolated showers remain in the southwest and feeling cool in a lighter northwesterly wind. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

A dry, bright but chilly weekend as patchy frost and fog form by night. Turning unsettled as rain, strong winds and possible coastal gales develop through Sunday and into Monday.
