Swan Advocacy is looking for volunteers to join their Dementia Advocacy Service.

The purpose of this role is to support people with dementia (or those with concerns about their memory), to complete a Living Well Plan – a record of their hopes and preferences for the future.

Dementia Advocacy volunteers give individuals the opportunity to have their voice heard. By offering just two hours a week, volunteers help people to reflect on their past, identify things that are important to them today, and express their wishes for the future.

There are over 3,000 people living with dementia across Bath and North East Somerset and this number is set to increase by 8% before 2020.

Are you committed, passionate, empathetic and a good listener? Do you believe that everyone has an equal right to have their voice heard? If so, Swan would love to hear from you.
