Keynsham town centre will be transformed into a festive wonderland on Saturday, November 28, as the popular Winter Festival returns with live entertainment, market stalls, a funfair and a host of free family activities.
Organised by Keynsham Town Council, the annual celebration will take place from 12 noon until 6pm, bringing residents and visitors together to mark the start of the Christmas season.
The festival will feature live performances by local groups across two stages, alongside market stalls offering a variety of goods, food and drink.
Families can enjoy a programme of free activities, including face painting, children’s entertainment, character meet-and-greets and a visit to Santa’s Grotto.
The popular funfair will also return, adding to the attractions throughout the town centre.
This year’s festival promises new additions and venues, although the full programme has yet to be announced.
The celebrations will begin a day earlier, on Friday, November 27, when the Christmas tree at St John’s Church will be illuminated.
Organisers say the festival is also an opportunity for visitors to support independent businesses and discover more about local community groups.
Katherine Sears, Deputy Town Clerk, said: “The Winter Festival is a wonderful celebration of Keynsham’s community spirit, bringing residents and visitors together to enjoy the start of the festive season while supporting our local businesses.
“We’re looking forward to another fantastic day of festive entertainment, family activities and community celebrations.”
The event is supported by a range of local businesses, including I. J. McGill Transport, Muse Dental, Wards Solicitors, Gregor Heating, Singer Wealth Management and Smart Computers UK.
Full details of the entertainment programme and additional attractions will be announced nearer the event.
