Last weekend, Peasedown Athletic travelled to Bishop Sutton to play their Reserve team. Peasedown opened well with Lewis having the first shot of the match, which Coombes saved.

With Sutton also pressing hard, Stevens, making his fiftieth appearance for Peasedown, got in a telling tackle on Francis to thwart Sutton's attack. Peasedown weathered the storm and came forward through Lewis, who put Hulford through and he pulled his shot wide. Pile then found Owen, who sped past Buck and crossed and Hulford flicked the ball onto Stevens and his shot was deflected for a corner by Bennett.

At the other end, Allard saved well from Flowers. Peasedown won a free kick, taken by Pile, and Coombes fisted away. Peasedown attacked again, with Hulford passing to Lewis and his shot was saved by Coombes. Another Peasedown attack saw Hulford find Rogers down the left, who then found Pile and his shot whistled wide of the post. When Bishop Sutton attacked, they found Woodland outstanding at the back for Peasedown. In Peasedown's next attack, they deservedly took the lead when Hulford headed on for Pile, who neatly lobbed Coombes and 1–0 the score on 38 minutes.

Bishop Sutton attacked again through livewire, Flowers, whose strong shot was handled well by Allard. Woodland's full-blooded drive was well held by Coombes. Peasedown almost increased their lead just before the interval, when Hulford rounded Springton and fired into the goalmouth where James kicked off the line. At half-time, Peasedown led 1–0.

Peasedown sprang forward from the kick-off and Hulford's throughball to Pile saw a brave save at his feet by Coombes. Pile delivered a dangerous cross to Hulford who set up Rogers, but his shot was too high.

Peasedown went 2–0 up on 58 minutes when a curling free kick by Pile saw Coombes get a hand to the ball, but he could not prevent it from crossing the line. Peasedown kept the pressure on Sutton and Ravetta-Wood put Hulford through and he lobbed Coombes, but the ball fell the wrong side of the bar. Bishop Sutton came forward with Bennett finding Francis and his fine effort was tipped over by Allard. Pile's effort was excellently saved to prevent his hat-trick. Woodland tried from a distance, but over the bar it went. Although Woodland was outstanding, he blotted his copybook when Bishop Sutton's Flowers robbed him just outside the penalty area and advanced into the box and as Allard advanced from goal, he slipped the ball past him to reduce Sutton's arrears to 2–1 on 84 minutes. Peasedown hit back with Pile, but his effort was excellently saved by Coombes. Bishop Sutton were pushing for an equaliser but Allard's superb save denied Buck.
