Odd Down were the Western Leagues last stop on a tour that’s taken in all six Clubs located across Bath and North East Somerset, the area covered by Bath Mind. Earlier this year the Western League teamed up with Bath Mind to highlight the importance of recognising the mental health challenges young footballers and young people, are facing. Bath Mind have produced special posters, highlighting a variety of their support services for young people, designed to be hung in Western League changing rooms. In addition to the posters, leaflets and other support materials have been distributed to the Clubs participating in this partnership. Following on from this successful pilot, the Western League have plans to extend this campaign across all 40 member Clubs, stretching from Wiltshire to Cornwall.

Odd Down Director of Football, Everett Welch, said, “We hope by raising awareness of this local charity, our community will feel comfortable knowing there’s help when they need it most. We would like to thank everyone for attending the day, including our main sponsors Waste Recycling Bath, who made a sizeable donation on the day, but we’d like to take this opportunity to thank all our contributors for their generosity, including Ray Cunningham along with Ian and Alison Humphries for all the hard work they have put into making this happen.”
