Prattens’ Ladies were away in both their Wild League games this week. On Tuesday, they gained two League points against Wells, winning on one rink; on Thursday they gained ten League points, winning on two rinks and the overall shot difference.
On Wednesday, Prattens’ Men were away to local rivals, Paulton, in the Mid-Somerset League, where they gained twelve League points by winning on two rinks and the overall shot difference. On Saturday, they were at Home to Alexandra Park (Bath) in the Somerset County League and gained all twelve available points, winning on all three rinks and the overall shot difference. There was a Mixed Mid-Somerset League game on Friday evening away to Wyrral Park (Glastonbury). Prattens gained two points, winning on one rink.
In the coming week, Prattens’ Ladies have a friendly away to Bloomfield (Bath). The Men are home to local rivals, Purnell, in the Mid-Somerset League and there are mixed games away to local rivals, Paulton, in a friendly and at home to Shepton Mallet in the Mixed Mid-Somerset League. This week also sees the next round of the Tony Allcock Over-60 National Two Rink competition, in which a mixed team from Prattens are at home to Alexandra Park.
Club nights continue on Mondays at 6 p.m. All are welcome to come along and try bowls, just wear flat shoes. Bowls can be borrowed and coaching is free. For details: 01761 412705.
