Prattens’ Men were at home to local rivals, Norwest, in the Mid-Somerset League this week. The game was played in poor weather conditions; Prattens lost on three rinks, won on one and lost overall, fifty shots to 71, gaining two out of sixteen available League points.
The Mixed Friendly against Winsley was cancelled by the opposition due to a waterlogged green. In the Friendly game against Mark Moor, Prattens won on three rinks, lost on one and won overall by 66 shots to 58.
In the coming week, Prattens’ Ladies are away to both Wells and Frome Selwood in the Wild League. Prattens’ Men are away to local rivals, Paulton, in the Mid-Somerset League and away to Frome Selwood B in the Somerset County League. There is also a Mixed Mid-Somerset League game away to Shepton Mallet.
Club nights continue on Mondays at 6 p.m. All are welcome to come along and try the game of bowls, just wear flat shoes. Bowls can be borrowed and coaching is available free of charge.
