What an excellent turnout for our AGM on Sunday. It was a good meeting and showed that overall, Norwest is doing well.
Thanks went to Avis, our outgoing President, and a big welcome to Eddie, our new one. We were sad to hear that Eric Obern was stepping down from his post as Match Secretary after many years of stalwart service – thanks Eric, you’ve done a great job.
Also, we learnt that Ken Wilkinson has resigned as bar manager due to ill health. So a big thank you to him and also to Anne, his wife. We wish Martin Hunt and Brian Holmes good luck as they take over these two important club positions. Overall, it was an excellent meeting and things are looking positive for the future.
Mary would like to remind members that there is still time if anyone wishes to come to the Presentation Evening on 19th November but she will need your menu choices and money by the end of this week. The fish and chips skittles on Friday evenings continues to be well supported. It’s a great opportunity to catch up with other members and friends, so don’t be shy, come along!
