Bloomfield Bowls Club, Wellsway, Bath recently held the competitions’ trophy awards.
The matches involve club members playing against each other, and are a knock-out competition that runs throughout the outdoor bowling season.
Closing the season, Bloomfield Bowls Club President, Peter Martin, congratulated all the competition winners and runners-up, but applauded one man in particular, Bob Rice.
Bob entered all the competitions available to him, and found himself in five Finals: the Men’s Singles, Two-Wood, Three-Wood, Mixed Pairs and Men’s Pairs. This remarkable achievement meant Bob’s Finals needed to be spread over a two-day period, and he triumphed in three competitions; the Two-Wood, the Three-Wood and the Men’s Singles.
