Oh dear. What a shocker it’s been for Norwest this week!

After last week’s positively glowing report for our Men, I have to report that the wheels have certainly fallen off the trolley this week. It started badly, when they played a friendly against Purnell.

Recently, we’ve had a bit of a battle going with Purnell over some points, which I wrongly credited to them.

Along with a large slice of humble pie, I asked for our points back, but now they’ve got their revenge.

Yes, they won the game 3 rinks to 1 and set the seal on the rest of our week. On Wednesday, away to Fosseway, the game followed a similar path and our lads lost 3–13 and just to complete the hat trick, they also lost their friendly on Saturday against Keynsham.

The mixed game in the MMSL league against Weston, Bath carried on the trend with a score of 2–10 and although it was only by five shots, we still lost.

Things haven’t been much better for our ladies either.

Although, technically, they didn’t lose their games, both had to be cancelled. And finally, our friendly against Portishead RBL on Sunday was also cancelled.

Oh well Norwesters, at least next week can’t get any worse!
