Well, firstly, I must apologise to Prattens’ Ladies for the mistake in last week’s Journal. I had the correct score, but was misinformed and must say that they beat us, 48 shots to 42.
On Tuesday, Fosseway Ladies were visited by the Victoria Blue team from Weston-super-Mare for a Mendip League game. Fosseway won on two rinks and lost on one, winning overall fifty shots to forty, and gaining eight of the ten points on offer. As Monday was a Bank holiday, Tuesday evening was very well supported for the Monday Night Triples.
The only other game this week was in the Men’s County League. Fosseway’s Men travelled to Keynsham, where they won on two, lost on one and won overall, 68-52 shots. They won ten of the twelve points. A good start to the season, let’s keep it up!
Next week is busier for the Ladies. On Tuesday there is a Mendip League game against Wedmore; Thursday a North Somerset League game against Bath, and on Saturday we travel to Keynsham for the Southey Cup, while the Men are playing Alexandra B in the County League game at home.
A quick reminder that the Plant Sale and Coffee morning is being held on Friday, 17th May, 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Just pop along to support Sue and our club.
