The weather has picked up at last, and the Fosseway Ladies have had a busy week.
On Tuesday, we were away to Isle of Wedmore in the Mendip League, picking up just two points. Thursday was another sunny afternoon at Bath, where we picked up a winning rink and a drawn rink to take three points, but lost the overall match.
Friday saw the completion of the abandoned match against Stothert & Pitt. Fosseway won handsomely on all three rinks to take the maximum ten points! The Men’s League matches have been completed, but on Sunday, some of them joined the Ladies for a friendly match against Begbrook Green in Bristol. On a very hot afternoon, the game was won by Begbrook Green.
Early rounds of the Club competitions are well on their way now to the Finals weekend in September.
