Saturday evening was a busy one at Norwest when members and friends turned up for a games evening. The evening started off playing ‘Best of British’ and after an excellent American supper the subject was ‘Taboo’.
It was great to see so many people there and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Thanks to Ann and Mary for organising the evening. The next social will be when we ‘Step into Christmas’ on Saturday, 26th November, when we hope to get everyone in the mood with lots of fun quizzes and games. We also have our Presentation evening to look forward to on Saturday, 19th November.
Sunday, and once again, the club was busy. This time, it was the men who gathered for their General Meeting when they discussed matters arising from the 2016 season and offered suggestions for the coming season. It was a lively meeting and some interesting points came up, which will go forward to the AGM which is on Sunday, 6th November at 2.30 p.m. I will be serving cream teas after the meeting, so if your’re not counting the calories and would like one, you need to book it. Just give me a bell, you all know the number.
