Prattens lost at home to Clarence Park on Wednesday in the Top Club competition, but while the result was in doubt until near the end, Prattens lost in three of the five disciples played.
The Ladies lost to Bloomfield on Tuesday and the Men lost at Weston, Bath in the Senior Fours.
On Thursday, Prattens played against Paulton in a four rink mixed game and drew on two rinks but lost narrowly on two rinks.
Finally, the Mixed team played away on Friday in the MMSL, but lost on all rinks against a very strong Street side. After such a disappointing week, it was good to have some fun on the Saturday afternoon and evening.
During the afternoon there were five fun games set up and every player played each game for a couple of ends with the scoring method depending on the game played. The games were called diamond, square, in the box, yardstick and jack in the ditch.
At 5 pm, a number of additional guests arrived, including a number of young children who took part in various non-bowls activities.
The younger children seemed to love playing these games with the youngsters cleaning us out of hoopla prizes. Our chefs kept the food available with their team of waitresses/barmaids serving food and drinks. A great time was had by all in good (dry) weather.
