Prattens’ Ladies played Shepton Mallet in a Wild League game last week, when Prattens lost forty shots to 46 overall; having won on one of the rinks, Prattens gain two League points from this game.
On Sunday, the Ladies played Bloomfield (Bath) in the Southey Trophy, which involved playing singles, pairs, triples and fours. Prattens won three disciplines, losing on the fourth by only one shot, which means they progress to the Quarter-Finals of this competition.
There were no Men’s games this week, but in a mixed friendly against Paulton on Thursday evening, Prattens won on all four rinks and had a convincing overall win on shot difference.
This week, the Ladies play Castle Cary in the Wild League, there is a Mixed Mid-Somerset League game against Frome Selwood and a Mixed Friendly against Shepton Mallet.
Club nights continue on Mondays at 6 p.m. All are welcome to come along and try the game of bowls, just wear flat shoes. Bowls can be borrowed and coaching is available free of charge.
