Purnell Bowls Club hosted their first Charity Floodlight game on Thursday.
Paulton played Norwest and after three hours of bowls, the game ended in a draw. Everyone enjoyed the post-game banter, with the draw and rink fees making good money for the chosen charities.
Terry Priddle, John Mathews and Steve Amor travelled to Leamington Spa to play in the National Triples Competition; they came up against a very good team and a very poor green and lost 19–11. All credit to them for getting there; they will play in the County Final in two weeks against Bristol.
Terry Priddle will also be playing in the Final of the Unbadged Competition on the same day; Purnell Bowls Club is hoping at last they can boast a County Champion in 2017.
It was not a good away game at Bristol for the A team, losing on all rinks. There is just one game left at Bath this Saturday and then the lads can put their feet up after two fantastic years.
