SWALLOW Charity is delighted to have received over £1500 from a local charity bowls league, kindly organised by Norwest Bowls Club in Westfield.

The charity league has been played during the summer season, with five local bowls clubs competing, including Norwest, Prattens, Paulton, Purnell and Frome.

Funds were raised by players competing and enjoying raffles and refreshments as part of the events. Norwest Bowls had seen that SWALLOW Charity is celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year and they wanted to get involved by donating this years’ charity collection to SWALLOW.

The money will be put to very good use supporting local teenagers and adults with learning disabilities to live life to the full. SWALLOW members have also been invited to try out a game of bowls at Norwest Club next spring which is great!

SWALLOW Charity was established in 1993 in response to local people with learning disabilities wanting more choice about how they lived their lives. Since then, the organisation has grown immensely, offering a wide range of services and now supports more than 150 teenagers and adults in Bath and North East Somerset and remains user led.
