Prattens’ Ladies Friendly Away to Alexandra Park (Bath) was called off at the last minute due to rain. In their friendly, at Home to Isle of Wedmore, Prattens won on two rinks, lost on one and won overall, 49 shots to 42.
In the Mid-Somerset League, Prattens’ Men were Away to local rivals, Purnell. Unfortunately, Prattens lost on all four rinks and gained no League points. In their Somerset County League game Away to Bath C, there was a better result; Prattens won on two rinks, lost on one and won overall, 67 shots to 43, and gained ten out of twelve available League points.
In their first Mixed Mid-Somerset League game of the season, at Home to Wyrall Park (Glastonbury), Prattens won on two rinks, lost on one and won overall, 64 shots to 62, and so gained ten out of twelve available League points.
In the Friendly Away to Banwell, Prattens won on one rink, lost on three and lost overall, 96 shots to 65.
A Mixed team from Prattens played the first round of the Tony Allcock National Two rink competition Away to Frome Park. Prattens were two shots up after eighteen out of 21 ends, but unfortunately lost the last three ends, losing overall, 37 shots to 46.
In the coming week, Prattens’ Ladies are Away to Frome Park in the Wild League. There is a Mixed Mid-Somerset League game Away to Frome Selwood and a friendly Away to Wyrall Park.
Club nights continue on Mondays at 6 p.m. All are welcome to come along and try the game of bowls, just wear flat shoes. Bowls can be borrowed and coaching is available free of charge.
