It may be the off-season, but that doesn’t mean things have come to a standstill at Norwest. Oh, no. It’s been all go at the clubhouse for the last few weeks, as our boys have been putting up plasterboard, re-plastering and wielding the paintbrushes and painting everything in sight.

Not only have they been sprucing up the main room but they’ve tackled the kitchen as well, and I must say, they are doing an amazing job. When it comes to the maintenance team, I’m not going to mention names because there are so many beetling away behind the scenes and as I’d probably miss someone, I’d be in trouble. Suffice to say, you are doing a brilliant job – THANK YOU, from all the Committee and members of Norwest.

Now, as promised last week, a date for your diary. On March the 7th we are having our second social evening of the year. This time it’s a ‘Simply, Silly Quizzy Thing’ and as you’ve probably guessed from the title, Brian and myself will be running it. There will be an American supper and raffle and at the end of the evening, if you can honestly say you didn’t laugh once or enjoy it, one little bit, I’ll give you your money back!

Another reminder: don’t forget the Friday night Fish and Chip Skittle league is still going strong, but I have to say we don’t seem to have had many supporters coming along to cheer the skittlers on. So if you’re at a loose end on Friday evening, please, come along for a drink and a catch up with your friends and

fellow bowlers – you can even check out the new decor!
