Calling all Norwest members. Do you have any problems? Are there any things which you feel could be improved at Norwest? Do you have any suggestions for future events? Well, here’s your chance . . .
The Committee will be meeting on Monday, 12th February, and if there are any points that you feel you’d like to raise, just get in touch with one of the committee members and tell us about it. Remember, it’s your club, so just let us know.
On the whole it’s been a fairly quiet time recently, but next week promises to be much more exciting. I hope you’ve all been limbering up for Tuesday (13th February) because, yes, you’ve guessed, it’s Shrove Tuesday. Have you been flexing those arm muscles ready for all the batter whisking and pancake tossing?
After all that hectic activity you can sit back and feel the love on Wednesday, when romance will be in the air for Valentine’s Day (14th February). Will it be a romantic dinner for two or will you be out on the town clubbing? However you decide to celebrate Valentine’s Day, the good news is that you’ll have time to recover before Saturday, 17th February, when our Valentine’s evening will take place at Norwest.
It should be a great evening, and you don’t have to be a romantic twosome to enjoy it. There will be lots of fun quiz sheets to test the old grey matter, and all your efforts training for Pancake Day will come in useful for the slightly more active games like throwing the hearts at flowers and fishing for love.
There will be an American supper and a red themed raffle. The fun will start at 8 p.m., so make sure you’re there by 7.30 p.m. to get your drinks in and settle down ready to feel the ‘luv’. I’ve got the prizes ready, and of course, even the losers are winners at Norwest! Yes, the wooden spoons are ready and I’m sure you wouldn’t want to miss out on the chance to get your hands on one those.
N.H.
