It really doesn’t seem possible, but the Norwest Fish and Chip Skittle League is almost at an end for another season.
Over the winter months, club members and friends have spent many a jolly evening on the skittle alley at Norwest with, may I say, some very mixed results – but the one thing that they all had was fun!
That’s the beauty of the Fish and Chip League, it’s very easy-going and however good or bad you are at knocking the pins down, you still get your fish and chips at the end of the season! We have to thank Keith and Dennis for organising the whole thing, and a great job they make of it. Now for the best bit: it’s the fish and chip supper. This year, it’s on Saturday, 30th March, so get the date in your diaries, get your order in to Keith if you haven’t already done so and start working up a good appetite!
A few more diary dates: Subs night is on Saturday, 23rd March at 7.30 p.m; President’s Day is on Sunday, 14th April (the list for names will be on the notice board) and this year’s Open Evenings are on Tuesday, 16th, Wednesday, 17th, and Thursday, 18th April, but more about those next week. So, if you’re not a bowler, but are thinking about giving it a go – watch this space...
