It would seem that Saturday night was a great success all round! It was quiz night at Norwest, but due to the fact that I had a ‘date’ with Joe Brown in Frome, I couldn’t get there.
However, I have it on good authority, namely Cilla, that everyone who did attend had a great evening. The quiz master, Dave, did a great job, with his assistant, Ann, helping with the scores. The end result was nip and tuck, with Martyn Hunt’s team finally claiming victory after a second tie-break question. Cilla said that it was an evening with much laughter and the American supper went down a treat. Thanks to all who helped make the evening a great success, especially Dave the quiz master. And my date with Joe? Yes, that was brilliant too.
Now for this Sunday: hopefully, with bonfire night not quite with us, there won’t be too many fireworks when we meet up at Norwest for the club General Meeting. Attending the meeting is an important part of belonging to the club, and it is no good complaining later about decisions made if you don’t turn up to have your say. The meeting is on Sunday, 3rd November at 2.30 p.m., so please come along – I look forward to seeing each and every one of our members there!
