Thirty-two hardy members took part in the Cecil Jones Competition.

The Quarter, Semi and Finals were played after the three rink sections, Nigel Vine was the winner with Andy Walker a very close runner-up.

Big thanks to Nora and Brian Holmes, our Chairman for organising the event, also Mary and Paul for their work in the background.

The first round of the County Triples were played on Friday 14th, Arron’s rink beat a very good Bath team 16–15.

Sunday, 16th saw the B team travel to Keynsham in the two rink although leading most of the game, they unfortunately lost 25–19.

Sunday, 23rd saw the visit of our good friends from Prattens in the Top Club two rink; the game was played in good spirits and despite the weather, Arron’s rink won 27–8

Graham’s rink won 11–10.

Over the past few years Nora has reported all the news from the club and has decided to stand down – we thank her for all the hard work she has done – yours truly will be carrying the banner! MA
