It was great to see so many members at our subs evening on Saturday and the atmosphere was really good which hopefully bodes well for the coming season, but before the woods start flying up the green we have a couple of social evenings to look forward to.
Firstly, on Saturday, 2nd April, we have our Easter Egg-stravaganza. If this runs true to form, it should be a great evening and lots of fun. It’s a light hearted quiz evening, but with some easy, fun games thrown in and not only will the winners get a prize, but the losers each get a sought after wooden spoon. There will be an American supper, raffle and the bar will be open. What more could you want, so just come along and join us at 7.30 p.m. for an 8 p.m. start and don’t forget to bring your thinking caps with you.
The second event is our fish and chip skittle supper, which is the culmination of our Friday night fun skittles league and will be held on Saturday, 9th April.
Now I have a great opportunity for someone out there. How do you fancy joining us for our annual bowls tour? We are going to Weymouth, Monday, 2nd to Friday, 6th May and we have a twin room available. We will be playing at Swanage, Poole and Portland, you don’t have to be a member of Norwest, you don’t even have to be bowlers, you can just come along and do your own thing.
