In the county matches, Arron, Nigel, Andy and Len travelled to Bloomfield in the fifth round where Bloomfield won by two shots.

On the same night at Norwest in the second round of the mixed pairs, Nora and Edd played husband and wife team, Richard and Lynn from Prattens and won 19–14.

On Thursday evening in the fifth round of the Singles, Arron played Kevin Jones from Bloomfield again, another good game which Kevin won 19–21. On Wednesday evening Purnell were the visitors in the MSL Norwest. They did their best to hold on, but Purnell were too strong on the night, winning on all rinks and claiming the 14 points on offer.

On Friday evening in the Mixed Fours, Alexandra Park were the visitors. The game was played in good spirit with a couple of wrong biases (will not mention the players involved!).

Saturday saw the anticipated clash between the A and B teams. The A team won on all rinks and the bonus was the weather held fair. Merv Ashman
