Last week saw Paulton Bowls Club start their fixtures for the new season.
The Mixed team enjoyed their first outing to Shepton Mallet, a team which had benefited from playing some games already this season. Paulton came away without a victory, but there were some good performances from quite a few players.
The Club’s Men unfortunately went the same way, with a defeat against a competitive Bath Bowling Club team. They were, however, grateful to get some game time to start their season and renew some friendships after the long winter lay-off.
Last Sunday saw the club’s Open Day go off very successfully. Many non-members were warmly welcomed to try the game, enjoy some hospitality and make some new friends. If anyone would like to join in, please contact: 01761 416451.
