Last Tuesday, Paulton men may have lost out to Fry’s in the Turnbull Cup, but this was followed by success the next evening against Prattens, in their MSL fixture, when they picked up nearly all points on offer. So, well done gents.
It was ‘revenge’ week for our ladies, this week! On Tuesday, Prattens’ Ladies took the majority of points in the Wild league fixture, after Paulton had beaten them in their previous league and cup meetings. Paulton had also beaten Purnell ladies in their latest league meeting, but narrowly lost out to them in the second round of the Fear Cup last Friday – a close, good game.
The club Fixed Jack competition took place on Saturday. So many members had entered, that a new pairs format was played. The successful pairs will play on one of the Finals Days, near the end of the season. The competition was followed by one of Dave’s Barbecues – and what a cracking day/evening it was. A mixed friendly on Sunday against Keynsham, which Paulton won, rounded off the week’s bowling.
