At the end of June, the club held a fancy dress afternoon with members arriving in a fine selection of costumes ranging from Elvis Presley, flapper girls, a miner, pirates and St Trinian’s school girls.
Members played a fixed jack game which was brought to a premature finish by the weather, but the games continued inside with darts, table skittles and bagatelle. Proceeds from the spider totalling £25 went to the charity, SANDS, with the balance from the afternoon going to club funds.
The whole afternoon was organised by Lesley and David Beard, a job very well done.
