PAULTON Bowls Club have enjoyed mixed fortunes in recent matches. Playing away against Purnells B in MSL, Paulton Men produced a dominant performance on all rinks, winning by 73 shots and gaining 12 points.
Unfortunately the women, away at Castle Cary, did not fair so well, coming away with no points.
The men also played at home in the National Top Club knockout competition, involving five different disciplines. However Paulton could not replicate their winning form, winning on only one of the rinks, despite some really spirited play.
Both the latest matches were against Norwest. The women, away, have not found their true form, not managing a win. However the men at home, again in the MSL, produced another strong overall win by seven shots, taking them to the top of the Central Division in the league.
