SATURDAY, September 6, on a day made for bowling with warm sunshine and a light breeze Paulton Bowls Club played at home against South Petherton for the Petherton Cup.
Paulton took an early lead on three of the four rinks which despite some very close games they managed to maintain until the final victory.
Sunday the club, as usual, opened its heart and doors to the veterans and official personal attending the Double Hills ceremony held at the memorial site, with those involved grateful for the use of changing facilities and refreshments provided by the club and we extend a thank you to those at the club who gave their time for this cause.
Thursday evening Paulton played away against Purnells at Norwest ground in the finals of the Floodlight Charity matches. However despite our best efforts and very close games which went all the way to the wire, we could not prevail on any of the rinks.
