A WEEK of stunning weather at Paulton Bowls Club has certainly brought out the best in the teams, no matter whether in competition or friendlies.
The friendly away at Kingswood and Hanham, a new venue for us, proved to be a competitive game with a good outcome on two rinks while the one at home against Frys although not an outcome in our favour, was played in a friendly competitive spirit.
The ladies at home in the wild league, although not getting the outcome they were hoping, produced some excellent bowling in very close games.
The last two games in the MSL, on Wednesday evenings, have proved what a strong competitive spirit exists in the men’s team with a 73-36 win at Prattens and in a very competitive close game at home against Frome Selwood, although we could only win on only one rink, the results have put us in a good position in the central division.
