The first game of the new season saw Prattens’ Ladies play in a friendly away at Holt.
In a very close game, Prattens scored thirty shots overall and Holt 31, so Holt won by one shot.
In the first mixed friendly game of the season, Prattens played Severn Vale at Home. Prattens won on all four rinks, scoring 93 shots overall to Severn Vale’s 59.
On Sunday, the second mixed friendly game was away to Keynsham. Prattens won on three out of four rinks; overall the shot difference was Prattens, 104 shots, Keynsham, 46.
Prattens’ President’s Day was on Saturday, 22nd April. Members enjoyed the annual President versus Captains Triples game on a very pleasant afternoon of Spring sunshine; this year the Captain’s team won the challenge.
Following the bowls, President Robert Pemberton and his wife, Barbara, assisted by their friend, Margaret Shearn, hosted tea in the Clubhouse.
In the coming week, Prattens’ Ladies play two friendly games away to Bath Ladies on Tuesday and Stothert and Pitt Ladies on Thursday. Prattens’ Men are away to Bath on Saturday in a friendly game and there is a Mixed friendly game away to Ashcombe on Sunday.
