Prattens ladies played a friendly against Keynsham on Tuesday. Prattens won on two rinks, lost on one and won overall 41 shots to 38.
In the second Charity Cup game against Paulton, Prattens won on two rinks and picked up a further two points from this game.
On Saturday and Sunday, Prattens held the finals of the club competitions. Both days were well supported by members and a tea was held in the clubhouse on Sunday afternoon. The results of the finals are as follows: Ladies’ singles: winner, Chris Waldron, runner-up, Betty Whittock. Men’s singles: winner, Ray Chivers, runner-up, Richard Brimble. Keith Harrington Memorial Trophy: winner, Pauline Dando, runner-up, Betty Whittock. Ladies’ two wood: winner, Pauline Dando, runner-up, Jill Moon. Men’s two wood: winner, Ray Chivers, runner-up, Paul Hanks. Thomas Cup: winner, Shirley Ashman, runner-up, Brian Weeks. 101 competition: winner, Pauline Dando, runner-up, Jill Hanks. Mixed pairs: winners, Richard Brimble and Shirley Ashman, runners-up, Graham Whittock and Chris Barnes. Mixed triples competition: winners, Malcolm Moon, Gus Halfhide and Chris Barnes, runners-up, Richard Brimble, Dave James and Sue Fear. The mixed handicap final between Pauline Dando and Colin Love was played on Monday, the result will be published next week.
