In their first Wild League game of the season, Prattens Ladies had an away game against Paulton, Prattens Ladies won on two rinks, lost on one and won overall by 67 shots to 49; the highest winning rink was Pauline Dando’s, winning 31 shots to six. This gained Prattens 10 out of 12 League Points.
Having gained promotion last season, Prattens Men had their first game in the Somerset County League, Division One East. In that game at home to Frome Selwood, Prattens won on all three rinks and overall by 71 shots to 50; the highest scoring rink was Richard Brimble’s winning 30 shots to 12. This gained Prattens all 12 league points.
In the coming week, Prattens Men have a Somerset County League game at home to Norwest; Prattens Ladies have a friendly game at home to Alexandra Park (Bath) and the first round of the Southey Trophy at home to Fosseway and there is a Mixed Mid-Somerset League game at home to Castle Cary.
On Thursday this week, Prattens are pleased to welcome a touring team from Burnham-on-Sea to play a five-rink mixed game followed by tea in the clubhouse.
