It’s been a busy week at Prattens. In the County Mixed Pairs, two teams from Prattens were drawn against each other. Barrie and Pauline Dando won through to the next round, having played Richard and Lin Brimble. Also in the County mixed pairs, Colin and Chris Love won through to the next round.
In the Tony Allcock Trophy, a mixed team from Prattens lost to a team from Bath Bowling Club. At Bloomfield Bowling Club (Bath), Prattens’ Ladies lost on all three rinks.
Richard Brimble, Barrie Dando and Colin Love played a Men’s team from Paulton in the County Triples competition, and won nineteen shots to sixteen.
Prattens played a mixed friendly away to Paulton, and won on all four rinks and overall by 75 shots to 42. There was also a Mid-Somerset League game at home to Fosseway for Prattens’ Men. Prattens won on three rinks, lost on one but won overall, 82 shots to 55, which gained Prattens fourteen League points.
There were also mixed friendly games away to Broughton Gifford and home to Mark Moor. At Broughton Gifford, Prattens won on two rinks, lost on two and lost overall, 62 shots to 65. At home to Mark Moor, in a five-rink triples game, Prattens won on two rinks, lost on three and lost overall, 83 shots to 89.
In the coming week, Prattens’ Ladies have two Wild League games at home to Wells and away to Norwest. Prattens’ Men have a Mid-Somerset League game at Home to Frome Selwood and a Somerset County League game Away to Keynsham B. In the Mixed Mid-Somerset League, Prattens are Away to Fosseway.
