Prattens’ Ladies had a great result at Chew Stoke in the Fear Cup, winning on two rinks, losing on one and winning overall by 57 shots to 48. In the next round, Prattens will play at Home to Bath Ladies Bowling Club. In the Wild League, Prattens’ Ladies played Purnells but lost on all three rinks.

In the Mid-Somerset League, Prattens’ Men were at home to Norwest; Prattens lost on three rinks, but two of those lost only by one shot, we won on the remaining rink but lost overall by 63 shots to 65, which gained two League points. In a re-arranged Mid-Somerset League game away to Paulton, Prattens won on two rinks, lost on two but won overall by 84 shots to 67, gaining twelve League points; one of the losing rinks again lost by just one shot.

In a Somerset County League game at Home to Stothert and Pitt A, we lost heavily on one rink but won on two rinks, losing overall by 51 shots to 67, gaining four League points.

In the County Champion of Champions, Pauline Dando of Prattens had a good win over Aaron Delamont of Norwest, 21 shots to 19.

In the Club pairs competition, Pauline Dando and Alan Durnford will play Chris Love and Brian Weeks in the final, which will be held in September.

In the coming week, Prattens’ Ladies have two Wild League games at home to Castle Cary and away to Wyrall Park; they also play the next round of the Fear Cup.

Prattens’ Men play the next round of the Turnbull Cup at home to Purnells, the final Mid-Somerset League game of the season away to Fosseway, and a Somerset County League game at home to Weston Bath B. There is also a mixed friendly game at home to Frome Park.
