The season for our bowls club is nearing its close and the Ladies visited Wedmore Ladies, winning on all three rinks 44 shots to 35 shots.
Our final day of the season traditionally is the Captains’ Day. Over the last few years, we have had a theme for the match and this year was no exception. The Captains chose ‘Hippy or Flower Power’, and our members dressed to suit the occasion. A group of our members are gathered together in the photograph to show their costumes. We took part in various bowls skills before we sat down to a fabulous salad tea with mouth-watering sweets to follow.
Social events will take place during the closed season, so watch this space for information.
