The outdoor Season has begun at Prattens Bowls Club! Our Green officially opened on Saturday, and was followed by President’s Day on Sunday.
Many of our members took the opportunity to have a ‘roll-up’ on Saturday and try out the green for the first time. On Sunday, our President, Brian Weeks, hosted the traditional President vs Captain’s game, and rather fittingly, the President’s team won! The game was followed by tea in the clubhouse. Members thanked Brian for a lovely afternoon of bowls and a delicious afternoon tea. The first two games of the season are mixed friendly games, Away to Severn Vale on Wednesday, 17th April and Away to Keynsham on Sunday, 21st April.
Our regular Monday evening club nights begin now and anyone is welcome to come along from 6 p.m., all you need to do is wear flat shoes – bowls can be borrowed and coaching is available free of charge.
