Prattens Ladies played two Wild League games this week, both against local rivals. In the first, against Paulton, Prattens won on one rink, lost on two, and lost overall by 31 shots to 38, which gained us two League points. In the match against Norwest, Prattens won on two rinks, drew on one, and won overall by 63 shots to 38, gaining us 11 League points. In the first round of the Fear Cup, Prattens Ladies lost to Bath Ladies Bowling Club and will now be entered into the Fear Plate.
In the Wedmore Plate, Prattens Men won on all four rinks and overall by 74 shots to 47. In the next round, Prattens will play Alexandra Park Away.
Mixed games this week against Stothert & Pitt and Ashcombe Park, resulted in Prattens losing to Stothert & Pitt by 68 shots to 75 after winning on two rinks and losing on two. At Home to Ashcombe Park, Prattens won overall by 88 shots to 54 after again winning on two rinks and losing on two.
In the coming week, Prattens Ladies have a Wild League game against Purnells, Prattens Men have the second round of the Wedmore Plate against Alexandra Park, A Mid-Somerset League game, against Paulton, and a Somerset County League game, against Keynsham C.
Club nights continue on Mondays at 6 p.m.. All are welcome to come along and try the game of bowls, just wear flat shoes. Bowls can be borrowed and coaching is available free of charge.
