PRATTENS Bowls Club men’s team have finally won a game in the Mid Somerset League (Week 8) - away to Frome Selwood, picking up ten of the 12 points available by winning on two of the three rinks and overall by 48 shots to 40. This was aided by a six on the last end of one of the rinks.
Prattens have also won one game this season in Somerset County League Division Two East (home to Purnell C).
Prattens Ladies team are doing rather better in their various competitions including progressing in the ladies seniors four although some of their wins have been by the tightest of margins.
So far this season the mixed team have lost all three of their league games - hopefully their time will come.
The club have managed to recruit a few more players, most of them having never played before, and this does make putting out teams a little easier.
