The Prattens Bowls Club pre-season meeting on Saturday, 25th March was extremely well attended. The Chairman opened the meeting by welcoming back existing members and introducing several new members.
Everyone was updated on the work which had been done during the closed season and those who had formed the working party, which undertook this work, were thanked by the Chairman. Officers of the Club then gave reports on their areas of responsibility.
The Green will open (weather permitting) on Saturday, 15th April and on Sunday, 16th April, beginning at 2.30 p.m. there will be a fun afternoon of bowls.
President’s Day follows on Saturday, 22nd April, again at 2.30 p.m.
The first two games of the new season are on Wednesday, 19th April and Sunday, 23rd April against Severn Vale and Keynsham, respectively.
Our weekly Monday evening Club nights will commence on Monday, 17th April at 6 p.m. Although we are delighted to welcome several new members this season, we would encourage others to come along on Monday evenings to try the game of bowls. Just wear flat shoes; bowls can be borrowed and coaching is available free of charge.
