The sun came outfor the clubhouses’ annual spring clean, but where, oh, where were the cleaners?
A big thank you to Mary Harston, Ann Woodham, Avis Heley and Pam Bush, our Mrs Mops who did turn up for the afternoon dust busting session. We had apologies from one lady and before you all shout, ‘What about you?’, yes, I did my bit in the morning as, due to a hospital appointment, I couldn’t make the afternoon session.
So now we’re all clean and ready for the 2017 season. By the time you read this, the roll ups and open evenings will be in full swing and, fingers crossed, we will have signed on lots of new members. Don’t forget that at the AGM a new dress code was voted in and for roll ups you can now wear casual dress but, please ladies, keep it sensible. Nothing too skimpy: we don’t want to put the lads off their game!
Always popular, this year’s Presidents’ Day is on Sunday, 23rd April. The list is on the notice board, so get your name down and start practising!
