Sunday, 2nd April was the perfect day to start learning croquet on Camerton and Peasedown Croquet Club’s lawns.
Julie Lewis, one of the participants, described the first day: “A warm welcome by members of the club marked the beginning of an enjoyable and instructive afternoon, first learning the seemingly simple task of hitting the ball straight and on occasions, scoring a hoop. Then, after refreshments, while enjoying the club’s amazing views, we all played our first game under the instruction of our four coaches, to discover croquet is fun.”
Alice, disguised as Mo Boys, qualified coach and referee, along with two flamingos, were there to ensure fair play.
