In their second home game of the season, Arrows played host to Taunton Netball Club’s Tudor squad. Tudor took an immediate lead taking the first quarter 11– 4. Despite the score line, Arrows’ centre passes were successful with Ellie and Emily running out strong each and every time.
Defensively, Arrows become a lot stronger in second quarter and managed to restrict the Tudor team from scoring goals; this quarter was goal for goal ending 9–16. Super sub Milly came on at GS making many successful shots. Meg, Tash and Shelly worked well in defence getting multiple interceptions and rebounds to turn the play around allowing Arrows to score.
Arrows gained most of the possession in the third quarter due to accurate passing and movement. Shelly, Ellie and Emily worked well together getting the ball down to the shooting third, Meg and Milly to shoot. Arrows slowed the game down and played more chest passes as Tudor were getting the high ball due to their extra height. Ella worked well in GK marking all the shots that Tudor made, this then made the score 14–20.
Skye then came back on as WD for the final quarter, this was by far Arrows’ strongest quarter with them managing to score seven whereas Tudor only managed five. Despite the score line, Arrows still played their best and left the court with smiles on their faces. The final score was 21–24.
