In the closely contested MSL game against Prattens, we won on two of the three rinks.

Friday afternoon saw the Jubilee Spider take place with the prize, a bottle of Baileys, going to Mike Clarke, followed by an excellent Jubilee themed supper organised by Di Ball and aided and abetted by Di Doble, Jenny, Sue and Pat, an often under appreciated and unsung team in the club. This abundance of good fare did not hinder the Mike Rees competition in the evening, although how I do not know.

Saturday morning, away at Yatton, in the Men’s Top Club competition, we lost in four of the five disciplines. However, the honours for Paulton must go to Trevor Francis who, against very strong opposition, won the singles rink 21-18.

Our next matches will be the Ladies against Bloomfield and the MSL away at Purnells.
