Farrington Park Seniors: The furore surrounding Luis Rubiales and that kiss rumbles on. The late Errol Brown of Hot Chocolate would hardly believe that their 1982 hit could be making a return to the charts for all the wrong reasons!

Another Brown, this time Paul, is also a happy man after his performance in the recent Seniors Medal competition. A sparkling display saw him shoot a round of net 64 to claim the Division 2 prize by a clear four shots. An interesting stat is that five of the first six places in Division 1 were taken by members of the Canards, a social group of 16 who play every Saturday.

Results: Division 1 Alan Elkington 68, Tony Waldron 70, Don Perry 71, Mike Bradbury 71, Ray Guthrie 71,

Division 2 Paul Brown 64, Barry Hall 68, Steve Banfield 71, Jim Farmer 71, Alan Smith 71,

Division 3 Chris Liberty 66, Roy Matthews 67, Dave Lewis 69, Mike Mahoney 70, Andy Smart 71.

There were only five ‘2s’ with Dave ‘Lucky’ Forshaw claiming two of them. Nearest the pin on the 8th was Alan Elkington and on the 14th in 2 shots was Dave Harvey.

In the friendly matches we had an away match at The Bristol and drew 3.5 games each. At home on Thursday we beat a spirited West Wilts team 6-0 to remain unbeaten at home this season.
