Farrington: Reign and Rain
The early starters at 8am endured the full range of weather conditions, starting their round in light drizzle then cloudy and breezy and finally finishing in warm sunshine. The vagaries of British weather.
At least the Platinum Jubilee celebrations survived with only the final day slightly spoilt by persistent rain.
A fine turnout of seventy nine Senior golfers teed off the green tees for the first qualifying Stableford competition of the month.
Mike Rogers finished top of the heap with an excellent forty six points off a handicap of twenty two. His round contained nine pars and one birdie. Good Golfing Mike.
Division One: Phil Button on forty four, Steve Symonds on forty one, Alan Fussell on forty, Steve Hobbs with thirty nine, Gary Auld on thirty seven and Steve Ball on thirty six.
Division Two: Mike Rogers with forty six, Jim Farmer on forty one and Bob Baker on forty, Dave Brain came in with thirty nine, Steve Brixey with thirty eight and John Butler with thirty seven.
Division Three: Alan Smith on forty four, Kirk Bizley on forty one, Richard Leworthy on thirty nine, Colin Hawkins on thirty nine, Mike Mahoney on forty eight and Geoff Clare on thirty eight.
On the friendly front an excellent home win against The Bristol 4.5-2.5. Eleven matches completed with nine wins, one draw and a single defeat. Rob Thain
