Paulton secured a vital three points as Manger, Tony Ricketts, plots their survival in the League.
Nuno Felix headed wide after Leonne Jeanne crossed and there had been good build-up by Rovers Captain, Darren Mullings and Player Coach, Aaron Brown.
Paulton took the lead on fourteen minutes as Marion Mateus turned and found Jeanne, whose shot was deflected for a corner. Taken on the right by Brown, it was turned home after a deft header by debutant, Joe Chandler.
‘The Waders’ levelled seven minutes later, as home keeper, Ben John, mishit a clearance and Sam Merson turned the ball home.
Rovers were on top and took the lead after 31 minutes after Jeanne’s corner on the left was headed across the goal by Chandler, who finished from close range.
Biggleswade made it 2–2 on 41 minutes as Iehi Effiong fastened on to a long ball from Merson to lob over the onrushing John.
Rovers applied early second half pressure, as Jeanne and Chandler tested visting keeper, Ian Brown, whilst Effiong again tried to lob John.
Jeanne was injured and replaced by Kelvin Douglas, whose first touch brought what proved to be Paulton’s winner. Mullings cut in from the left and fed Douglas, his curling shot from the edge of the penalty area beating Brown.
Rovers then had to fight a rear guard as Josh Ford and Alex Grimshaw mounted clearance after clearance.
A rare counter-attack saw Mateus outpace the defence, only for Ian Brown’s foot-stopping Paulton increasing their lead.
Star Man of the Match: Joe Chandler (Paulton Rovers).
